K & M Wedding Logo

Misha contacted me to ask me to design a logo for his wedding in Santorini. He provided this image for inspiration:

They keys elements I was requested to include were:

  • The bride & groom's initials 'K & M'
  • A heart
  • The Santorini domes

This is the polished end result.

Fortune Tellers / Cootie Catchers

Do you remember making fortune tellers as a child? Well, I have now found the perfect excuse to combine my graphic design skills with nostalgic origami folding. As I scribble ideas in my pad, I reminisce about these childhood moments, the dedication put into each crease, and how much smaller my fingers were back then.

Why not use them for table decorations, or perhaps as ice-breakers for each table. How about a little fact about each guest:

Who (on this table) was born in Belgrade?
Who studied film in New York?
Whose favourite flavour of ice-cream is 'rum raisin'?

There's nothing worse than sitting at a table, having to endure those awkward silences and not having a clue what to ask the person next to you, except for that cliché

"So, how do you know the bride and groom?"

This brings me on to my next idea. Perhaps you could share information about how you know each guest, or a fun experience that you have shared. As it's your big day, how about including facts about you, the bride & groom.

These origami gems are not only perfect conversation pieces, but they would keep children entertained for a while, and could also have a more functional use, perhaps with timings of events, or menu details and information about the wine. They lend themselves well to traditional, modern, rustic or vintage weddings as they can be styled accordingly.
The potential is endless!
